Henry moves to a new town after his all-star baseball-playing brother tragically dies. His father is in a state of depression and his mother is working overtime in a local diner. He is working for Mr. Hariston, the grocer, when he meets Mr. Levine. Mr. Levine, a Holocaust survivor, is intensely working on a replica of his village where he grew up. Then Mr. Hariston tries to bribe Henry to do a shameful task that tests Henry to his breaking point

In this short, yet heavy book, much is left without answers and ends on a somewhat disheartening note. However, just enough questions are left in the end to make the book thought provoking. In most 100-page books, many characters are not explained well, but in "Tunes for Bears to Dance To" description was very effectively used and made for a great read.
